Alta Badia refuges
The Alta Badia refuges are built in Ladin or Tyrolean style and they can even present gourmet meals for skiers … Alta Badia is the Mecca of South Tyrolean and Italian gastronomy! In fact in these refuges Michelin- awarded cooks work coming from Italy, Germany and Slovenia. Early in the morning you can reach the mountain refuges on a snowmobile to have breakfast with fresh ingredients coming from the farms in the surroundings! If you want to taste something typical South Tyrolean, don’t miss the following meals: “Kaiserschmarrn” (a sweet omelette with berries and powder sugar), “Knodel” (balls of bread, speck and lard, which often accompany “Gulasch”), the buckwheat soup, to be eaten with spinach and cheese croquettes. If you want to have dinner in one of the Alta Badia refuges, the most famous DJs play here!
